Who we are, mission

 

The BRAINS FOR BRAIN Onlus Foundation aim to develop innovative therapeutic strategies to overcome the blood-brain barrier, the network of capillaries which, while protecting the brain from harmful substances, is opposing to all the treatments available today. This natural barrier is essential to protect the brain, since it filters the chemical compounds that circulate in the blood and prevents damage to the central nervous system, but also prevents the absorption of drugs administered for diseases that affect just the brain tissue.

The discoveries and success of BRAINS FOR BRAIN, are essential not only for the life of the children, but also to address and treat neurological diseases in adults, such as, for example, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
